Labia can be reduced under local anesthesia and in day care.
How is it done ?
The excess of labia tissue is drawn with a marker.
It is removed and sutured with thin and fast resorbable sutures. No need to take these sutures out, they will dissolve.
The area is very prone to swelling which will go away as fast as it came. There should be no reason for concern ; all very soft tissues react with a lot of edema.
Pain is very limited and persists only for one day
Patients need to take extra care not to allow the wound to get infected. Antiseptical solutions adapted to the area should be applied several times a day for 3)4 days
